The Sharon show was a bit slow, but the people were great the photos were amazing. I look forward to being able to link to the photo of the young man who drove his pony cart around town and gave rides to girls. Hah! (And now a profile photo has been added).
Thank you, Joanne, for the welcome. I agree that the Mass. History Conference was superb, the best yet. I am really interested in getting word out about our annual Boston Charter Day activities in September. I will add the details to the calendar after tomorrow's Partnership of the Historic Bostons meeting. However, I need your advice about the best way to get the word out to people on this site. Any suggestions about things that have worked for others would be appreciated.
Still haven't mastered messages here yet, so in case my note got lost, hearty congratulation to you again. And as for the blog - - a random scrapbook, really - - when you go to www.artandhistory.wordpress.com the front page should have a "subscribe" tab at the top.
So I hear that congrats are in order. You go Miss Lady. The concert want very well. Now I'm n a play which is going up on 1/14 at the BCA. Yes, it is time for lunch very soon, in the next couple of week, ok?
Thanks, Joanne, for your lead to the 3 pages of education resources--I suppose you are trying to locate ones that are not so obvious as at HGSE library. I am not familiar as I should be with the education professional field. Good luck with your work. Don Gardner
hey -- I just got there from the mass hist common page. is that curriculum of yours online somewhere? If so, wanna post the link on the session age of the conference? also, Hayley and I are developing some slight guidelines for curriculum development proposals. (not too specific, but giving a sense of the standard projects should hold themselves to -- any ideas where to look for guidance?
Hi Joanne--It's a good question--In some ways I think this network is ideally suited to garner attention for situations like the Robbins house. Because we are up against a very tight timeline, I thought the more people who knew about this, the better. But you're right, a separate module is probably a better mechanism.
