Oh, the Horror!

I passed it every day, this beautiful Stick style house. Sure, it needed a paint job and a little TLC, but what a beauty! I was horrified when I drove by it and it had been vinyl sided, robbed of its beautiful details and trim, and no longer an example of a Stick Style home. I wanted to cry. This is a great example of how the architectural details add character to a home and how vinyl siding and window replacement can make it lose its historic character.
Alas, another historic home lost in the battle with the vinyl siding & window industries :(
