What is your interest in the Mass. Studies Network?
Sharing ideas and connections; collaborating; 'meeting' colleagues and peers; exploring; learning.
About Me:
I have been involved in the Heritage field(s) for almost 20 years. My passion is synthesizing history and archaeology with education ... with 'reaching' an audience in a way that is dynamic, tangible, relevant. I love sharing all aspects of 'knowing' the past (as much as we CAN know the past) ~ I want to excite curiosity, elicit response, encourage discourse. I love speaking about archaeology; about art & architecture; about lifeways and life choices; about how choices made long ago resonate with us today. I want to be asked tough questions, the questions that make one think deeply and honestly. Historical inquiry has a cadence, a rhythm, a sense of 'being; it is imbued with life. As my Native American colleagues remind me, "Words have power ..." and those words can connect us as individuals and as communities.
