About Me:
My wife and I operate a B&B in a 1865 era farmhouse in Northampton's village of Florence that sits adjacent to the region's first municipally built rail trail.

I'm also a realtor in Massachusetts specializing in antique or historic houses or houses near to protected lands.

Your Organization:
I've set up a small consulting firm--Northeast Greenway Solutions which I use to teach communities how to convert former RR corridors into linear parks for biking and walking.
Your Title:
Executive Director
Another Organization?
I've also set up a creative land acquisition company, Central Highlands Conservancy, LLC . CHC steps-in and buys former railroad corridor in danger of being sold-off to adjacent land owners. CHC blocks them out, and then negotiates a sale to a visionary local land trust when they can raise the money in a capital campaign.

CHC sells the corridor for its costs + expenses, no mark up. In 2005, CHC sold 3.5 miles of the future MassCentral Rail Trail [including 4 large bridges] to a land trust in central Mass who is now working to develop it.

In 2010, CHC is partnering with two other land trusts and a conservation commission to buy between 3 and 4 miles in three other central and eastern Massachusetts communities.

Hope you have been getting emails about the bike route, especially the one about Douglass' speaking tours around the state.
