What is your interest in the Mass. Studies Network?
I work with The History Project, an organization founded in 1980 to document and preserve the history of Boston's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
Hi Andrew: Thanks for the info! I lived in Boston/Somerville for a while and never heard of The History Project. I'm really glad to know what it does - I've used some of the materials collected by D.C.'s Rainbow History Project, which seems like a similar organization. Important work, given that too few archives or libraries are collecting this material. I'll check out the links.
Hi Andrew:
I just happened upon your profile and am glad to learn about The History Project. Is the project trying to build an archive? Doing exhibits?
Hi Andrew - welcome to this fledgling network! I've long admired The History Project and hope you might have time to join in the mix here, invite others to join, share photos, videos, etc. The network is just getting going, and we're experimenting with the principles of online social networking as we go. Should be a fun ride...
